The Utilities Board of the City of Oneonta has made the following changes to its water rate structure.
These changes in rates still offer our customers a less expensive and more thoroughly tested alternative than other sources to fill their water needs. The water rates in comparison with other water systems in the area, are still among the most economical. They also offer our customers water that meets or exceeds all government requirements.
These changes are effective as of January 1, 2018:
All minimums and step rates will increase by 3%.
The average residential water customer has a monthly usage of 5,800 gallons and their monthly water bill will increase by approximately $ 1.26 with the 3% increase.
